Thomas ASANGER

Thomas Asanger (*1988 à Linz) a étudié la philologie allemande à l’Université de Vienne, le basson, la pédagogie musicale avec pour matière principale la direction de chœ ur (magister artium avec distinction) et la pédagogie vocale à l’ Académie de musique et des arts du spectacle de Vienne ainsi que la direction d’ orchestre à vent à l’Université privée Anton Bruckner de Linz.
Il a reçu de nombreuses récompenses et prix de composition pour son travail de composition, dont une bourse de talents du Ministère fédéral de l’Éducation, de la Science et de la Culture (2007). Beaucoup de ses compositions ont été nominées comme pièces obligatoires dans divers concours en Autriche et à l’étranger (y compris en Allemagne et en Suisse). Ses compositions sont jouées dans le monde entier, notamment à la prestigieuse Midwest Clinic de Chicago (États-Unis).
En tant que chef de chœ ur, il était et est régulièrement responsable des répétitions pour des institutions de renom, dont le Theater an der Wien dans la série "Jugend an der Wien" (par exemple Béatrice et Bénédict, Le s Contes d’ Hoffmann) ainsi que pour le Tonkünstler-Orchester de Basse-Autriche dirigé par Yutaka Sado (9ème Symphonie de Beethoven) dans la série "Seid umschlungen, Millionen". Depuis 2015, il enseigne à l’ école de musique OÖ Landesmusikschulwerk la direction d’ ensembles à vent. De 2013 à 2014, il fut assistant d’étude à l’ Institut d’analyse, de théorie et d’histoire de la musique de l’ Académie de musique et des arts du spectacle de Vienne. Il y travaille comme assistant de recherche depuis 2016.
