Luigi CHERUBINI
Maria Luigi Carlo Salvatore Cherubini Zenobio, better known under the name of Luigi Cherubini was an Italian composer, born September 14, 1760 in Florence, died March 15, 1842 in Paris, buried in the cemetery of Pere Lachaise (Division 11). He was active in organizing public events for students, such as exercises dramatic music and art. It also allowed the birth of the Societe des Concerts du Conservatoire. It was also a Freemason, member of the Lodge St. John of Palestine of the Grand Orient de France. His death gave rise to a state funeral, which was played during his Requiem in D minor. Cherubini buried in the cemetery of Pere Lachaise (Division 11, Section VII).
