Born in 1936 in Tokyo, Japan, Hiroshi Hoshina graduated in composition from the National University of Fine Arts and Music in his hometown. His thesis won the Prix de Composition Contest Mainichi. Hiroshi Hoshina composed three works for the competition control All Japan Band Contest, which Fumon (1987). His opera recounting the horrific experience of the nuclear explosion of Hiroshima has been hailed worldwide. Hiroshi Hoshina is one of the great figures of the artistic Japanese.
