Giovanni GABRIELI
Giovanni Gabrieli (born 1557, died August 12, 1612) was an Italian composer. Gabrieli studied with his uncle, the composer Andrea Gabrieli, Orlando di Lasso with and as assistant to Claudio Merulo. He became owner of the second organ of the Basilica San Marco in Venice in 1584, his uncle being the first holder.
