by Robert Lemay. Written in 1999 for Rémi Ménard (one of the last students of Marcel Mule in Paris) and premiered in 2000 at the World Saxophone Congress in Montreal, Incertitude is a modern solo for alto saxophone and piano. The piece employs a variety of extended techniques for both instruments which include - slap-tonguing, altissimo, multiphonics, pad sounds and voice for saxophonist/ fingernail scrapes, harmonics and voice for pianist. The total duration is approximately 11 minutes.
