CHESEAUX TONY
Tony Cheseaux est originaire de Saillon (Suisse). Sa scolarité te rminée, il choisit de mener en pa rallèle de son Certificat Féd éral de Capacité d’horticulteur, des études de direction instrumentale au conservatoire de Sion dans la classe de Jean Daetwyler (menti on très bien). Cette mention lui a donné la possibi lité d’entrer en classe professionnelle de direction au Conservatoire de Lausanne dans la c lasse de Jean Balissat (orchestration) et Hervé Klopfenstein (direction). Entre 1984 et 1992, Tony Cheseaux a dirigé de nombreuses sociétés de musique dans sa région natale du Valais. Après plusieurs a nnées passée au sein de l’Ensemble de Cuivres Vala isan où il pratique successivement le Corn et, le Bugle, l’Alto et le Tuba, il devie nt en 1991 élève de James Gourlay et rejoint le Brass Band Berner Oberland au se in duquel une grande expérience est acquise en donnant, tant com me musicien que parfois comme directeur, une multitude de concerts et de concours en Suisse et en Europe. Entre 1995 et 1998, il anime une émission musicale hebdomadaire sur les ondes de Rhône-FM. Directeur musical entre 1994 et 1999 de l’Angelo Bearpark Brass Ensemble, il reprend en 1997 la tête de l’Harmonie Municipale de Sion, corps de musique officiel de l’E tat du Valais et de la ville de Sion. Il a également dirigé en parallèle l’école de musique de ce même corps de musique. En avril 1999 il a été décoré par la Société Académique d’Education et d’Encouragement «Art-Sciences- Lettres» à Paris. Entre les années 2000 et 2006 parallèlement à la direction d’ensembles comme La Musique de Lancy (Genève) et l’Ense mble de Cuivres de la Covatte de Coeuve (Jura), il étudie le Basson au conservatoire de Sion dans la classe de Benedetta Targa, et co llabore auprès de l’Orchestre Symphonique Genevois comme Bassonis te. Depuis 2006, Tony Cheseaux collabore auprès de diverses éditions comme compositeur, arrangeur ou copiste indépendant, ainsi qu’ en tant que chef d’orchestre pour des enregistrements promotionnels avec en tre autres le Lucyna Wind Ensemble (Pologne), et l’Orchestr e d’Harmonie de Fribourg (Suisse). Il a signé à ce jour plus d’une cinquantaine d’arrangements et compositions. |
