Pour le piano brings together 3 pieces for solo piano. They were premiered on January 11, 1902 by Ricardo Vines and met with great success. The "Prélude" is dedicated to Mademoiselle M.W. de Romilly, the "Sarabande" to Madame Yvonne Lerolle and the "Toccata" is dedicated to N.G. Coronio.
The "Sarabande" was later orchestrated by Maurice Ravel.
